Why aluminum
Is a black aluminum fence right for your yard?
Black aluminum is the fence for people who want to see their yard, not hide it. The pickets run in clean, straight lines, so the view stays open while the property still has a clear edge. We build it around yards, pools, front entries and along retaining walls, where a solid fence would block the view or fight the grade. That open look suits a front entry as well as it suits a back lot.
Aluminum does not need staining or sealing the way wood does, so upkeep is usually a rinse with the hose now and then. It is not a privacy fence, though. If you want eyes kept out, a wood fence or vinyl privacy fence is the better pick, and we will say so on the walk through. We handle county permits and HOA requirements when your lot needs them.

Pool enclosures
Pool fences that keep the water in view
Black aluminum is a common pick around an inground pool. The open pickets let you watch the water from the house, and the fence still closes the yard in with a gate where you want it.
Check your local pool barrier rules before you pick a style. Fence height, gate latches and picket spacing can differ from one town or county to the next, and your HOA may add its own. Tell us where the pool is and we will build around what applies to your lot.
Gates
Gates that match the fence
A fence line is only as good as the gate in it. We hang black aluminum gates to match the fence, so the opening looks planned instead of added on.
Arched driveway gates
A gentle arch across the top gives a plain opening some presence from the street. Tell us how wide the drive is and which way you want the gate to swing, and we lay out the posts with you on the walk through.
Double gates between brick columns
Brick columns already framing the drive? We hang a pair of aluminum gates between them, so the entry looks finished and the pair meets in the middle.
Customer reviews
From people who had aluminum built
We had a beautiful composite and aluminum fence installed in our front yard and it looks fantastic! The company was very easy to work with, communication was quick, and they were very professional. We would highly recommend this company!

The first was an aluminum fence. It looked sharp, was installed cleanly, and has held up well. When we decided to screen in our back patio, we didn’t hesitate to call them again. The screened-in enclosure came out better than we expected. The crew was professional, showed up when they said they would, and did solid work from start to finish. ...
Dave Hickey · Customer review · Oct 2026
JB Nealy Fence did a fantastic job with our common area fence! We needed a black aluminum fence to match what was already installed around our pool. These can be pricey but this company was able to see our vision and install one for us for a great rate. The owner himself came back out immediately when we needed to take a piece down temporarily to get a shed installed. Great rates, excellent communication, professional service. Would use again!

Questions
Aluminum fence questions, answered
Not seeing yours? Send us a text and we will answer it before you decide anything.
Is aluminum a good fence around a pool?
It is a common choice. The open pickets let you keep an eye on the pool from the house, and the black finish blends into the yard. Pool barrier rules vary by town and county, so check yours before you pick a height or gate style. We build around what your area requires and handle county permits.
Will an aluminum fence give me privacy?
No. Aluminum has open pickets by design, so people can see through it. If privacy is the goal, a wood or vinyl privacy fence fits better, and we build both. You can also run aluminum across the front and a privacy fence along the back, and we can lay that out when we walk the property with you.
Can aluminum go along a retaining wall or a slope?
Yes. We have built black aluminum fence along retaining walls, and the same style can follow a gentle grade. How the sections step with the ground depends on the slope, so we look at the lot when we walk the property with you and mark out the fence line before the build.
Do you build aluminum driveway gates?
Yes. We build arched driveway gates and double gates between brick columns, all in black aluminum to match the fence. Tell us how wide the opening is and how you use the drive, and we plan the swing and the post spots with you before anything gets built.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval for an aluminum fence?
It depends on your county, your town and your neighborhood. Our crew handles county permits and builds to HOA standards when your lot calls for it. Send us a text with your address and what you have in mind, and we will tell you what we need from you.
How long does an aluminum fence take?
It depends on how much fence you need, the ground it sits on and when materials arrive. Some materials can have longer lead times, so we talk timing through with you when we quote instead of guessing. Ask about the schedule as soon as you text us, and we will go over it.
