How a fence job runs

  1. Walk the line

We walk the property with you and talk through where the fence goes, where the gates sit and what the fence has to do.

  2. Mark it

Once we agree on the line, we mark it out on the ground so you can see the fence before it is built.

  3. Permits and HOA

The crew can handle county permits and build to HOA standards. Tell us up front if either one applies.

  4. Build

The crew explains the plan for the day, takes out any old fence, builds on the marked line and hangs the gates.

  5. Clean up

We clean up the site when the work is done, so you are left with a fence and a clean yard.

Customer reviews

What customers say about their fences

Impeccable work! JB Nealy installed a privacy fence for us, handling everything smoothly from county permits to final installation. Great communication, clean work, and amazing efficiency. Highly recommended!

Milton Flores · Customer review · Sep 2026

Prompt with building the fence and to HOA standards as well! Was able to get the clear coating and it looks really good!

Malcolm Ellis · Customer review · Aug 2026

He scheduled a time to come by and walk my property with me to fully understand how I wanted my area to be fenced. He gave honest professional opinions that helped out in the long run, and once we marked out the fencing trajectory, his team came out that day and got to work. …

Ahmad Walker · Customer review · Jul 2026

… For the new home, we wanted a farm style fence instead of a privacy fence and when I say "WOW", I really mean it. They did such an incredible job! The crew was professional and worked in a timely manner and the finished product is exactly what I was envisioning! …

Questions

Fence questions we hear

Which fence gives the most privacy?

Wood privacy styles like board on board and shadow box, and vinyl privacy panels, close off the view. Picket, aluminum, chain link and farm fences are open by design. Tell us what you want to screen and we will suggest a style when we walk the property with you.

Do you handle permits and HOA rules?

Yes. The crew can handle county permits and build to HOA standards. When you ask for a quote, tell us the county and whether your neighborhood has an HOA. Some HOAs set the style, height or color, so it helps to have those rules in hand before we mark the line.

How does getting a fence quote work?

Estimates are free. It takes three steps: send us a text, chat on the phone, and receive a quote. We also walk the property with you to talk through the fence line. A rough idea of the material, the gates you need and any HOA rules makes the quote come together faster.

Which towns do you build fences in?

We build in Elgin, Woodcreek, Columbia, West Columbia, Lexington, Sumter, Rock Hill, Florence, Saint Andrews and Seven Oaks in South Carolina, and Monroe in North Carolina. Past jobs include Lugoff, Hopkins, North Augusta and Lake Wateree. If your town is not on the list, send a text and ask.

Will I wait on materials?

It depends on the material. Vinyl and some other fence materials can have longer lead times, so ask about the wait when you get your quote. Customers tell us they were kept informed on lead time, and once the materials are in, the crew builds on the line we marked together.
